Recently I noticed drag when accelerating. With cruise control on, the car would stutter when going up hill and also when accelerating without cruise control. Checked fuel pipes and noticed bubbles. Had fuel filter replaced and all seemed well. However the drag is still there but no bubbles in fuel pipe. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be please and the remedy?

Check Tyre Pressures, have you a Roof Rack with a load on? when was the car last serviced? If the Fuel filter was changed what about the Fuel inline Filter under the car? was that changed? It's either just above the Rear Sub Frame or beneath the Near Side Front.
Has your fuel consumption changed noticably? It's not something as simple as the handbrake binding, is it?

TWR Thanks for that. I've called my mechanic (not a Volvo specialist) and he wasn't aware of the Fuel inline Filter under the car. Will have that checked.
it's a diesel, that's normal.
Bigfellah, I should think your Mechanic is familiar with these New Plastic clips that's out!! " Press & Pull off" they can be a right pain, I would advise to either replace with new (2) or replace with the Jubilee, at least with them there is no messing about.
