Good Morning Early Birds!

Sunday. It looks like it'd going to be as wet as yesterday. Some local flooding down the bottom of the hill. Apart from the usual running around I' staying in. Got the wee white lunatic accompanied by mum and dad here for dinner today. Always good fun.

At the moment I have an almost empty week at the moment. A meeting at the hospice Tuesday morning and that's it...at the moment. I shall be surprised if it stays that way!

Typing is fun this morning. I was peeling and chopping some bramley apples to cook in cider with a bit of cane sugar to make an apple sauce for today's starter, did my usual trick and tested the sharpness of the knife with my finger...it's very sharp! Not deliberately, you understand! Such is life.

A bit cloudy this morning, but dry. Not sure how long that is going to last. Well, the kids have broken up from school so this is what usually happens. I wonder that our schools don't have the hols in high summer, rather than now ?

Morning mikey. It all goes back to the days when the harvest was done by hand. The children were involved in the harvest, that is also why the school summer holiday is so long.

I'm good at washing up, not so good with the drying tho. plates/bowls/breakables seem to have a knack of crashing onto kitchen floor lol

Morning all, weather okay at the moment but heavy showers are in the forecast according to Grand Old Uncle Met.

Sister back today, so probably quiet...usual Inn run and then I need to get a Waitrose raid in.
