Mercedes Recall
Have had a letter off Mercedes regarding a potential problem with accidental airbag deployment . I rang my local dealer to have my car booked in to get the fix. The girl said it wasn’t a problem at the moment, and to get the car booked in if I get a airbag warning light come on. Isn’t this defeating the object. I’ve read why this problem can occur. So it’s wait till the airbag explodes whilst driving or a airbag light comes on, which ever comes first????

Basically as above. It’s been found out that there can be potential static discharge from the clock spring. ( thought that was part of the ESP mechanism. ) breaking, setting off the airbag. An additional earth is required. But everything is OK, drive as normal, only phone the emergency number supplied if the airbag light comes on.
