Have You Ever Wished You’D Said Something?
30 Answers
Have you ever been in the situation where you only realised that you should have said something but, didn’t think about it until minutes afterwards?
It was my day to pick my two little granddaughters up from school this afternoon. It was the night that my son had his girls as he is separated from his s**g of a wife.
He hadn’t told me that as it was her birthday he had agreed that she should have the girls tonight. I turned up at their school and heard her laughter. She saw me and asked me whether my son had told me of the change of plan.
I said ,”no.”
What I Should, have said was, “oh, I thought you would have been out on the lash on your birthday!!!
As I walked down the street, I was kicking myself.
I didnt wish her happy birthday .

Folk say there are two sides....in this case there wasn't....she did evil things......but I held my tongue for the sake of the grandchildren......
Now I hear things aren't going as well as she imagined....she no longer has all the things my son provided for her...though she amazingly expected him to carry on doing so.....and for her latest boyfriend who was pretty broke....
My worry is she will want to return now to the life she had......then I'll speak up......x

Our situation is exactly the same, gness. When I think back to seeing my son crying on my settee, I despise her.
Thankfully she has no hold over my son anymore as he’s realised what sort of person she is, and always has been.
As long as the girls are happy, that’s the main thing. Sadly they’ll find out in the future, when they’re older, just what she is/was like.

Chrissa1 you just reminded me of how I felt when my slimeball of an ex-son-in-law walked out on my daughter. The image of her sobbing her heart out on my settee clutching her two little boys will stay with me forever. She's made a brilliant new life for herself and them, but I would still push him under a bus if I thought I could get away with it.
Do you know, Horselady....I feel exactly the same even after all these years...
My son is doing really well now....despite her efforts to destroy him and the business he built up.....but she is still the one person I would chuck under the bus too.....
I don't dwell on it.....but that feeling never leaves you, does it...x
