I have inherited a five year old iPad mini where the original owner has forgotten their password. I would like to get it working if possible.
Does any member have suggestions as to my options?

JimF,
Sorry for the delay in answering.
No there is nothing on the iPad other than some email addresses.
However I want to set it up for my wife to use.

Sorry that is a colleague answering for me.
I forgot how to make a factory reset for this iPad mini.
You can also try Apple help. They guided me through this but it took a while as you need the original Apple ID to get into the device

Thanks everyone who made suggestions.
Now I'm stuck with Activation Lock.
Any one know how I get passed this?
