95 vectra 2.0 cdx

I have a problem with my vectra. When i'm driving i lose power, engine management and traction control lights come on. The dash display comes up saying automatic gearbox. By restarting the car goes back to normal. nothing on the fault log about it. Vauxhall less than helpful. Any ideas??
