Car crash....waiting at signal rear ended.... whiplash...insurance want it over quick!!!!
Was front passenger in a car crash today...we were waiting at a filter road for a chance to move into the main road when a larger car bumped into us from behind. I twisted my neck at the time of impact and now have a very sore neck and also hit the head rest sideways with a hell of a whack.... Insurance co. said go to my GP and they want to have it all cleared up by thursday.....are they rushing us ??? should we be wary? Damage to car is smashed in rear bumper ...damage to lower part of hatch back .... GP said I have whiplash...take panadol.....have heard it can last for a long while.... anyone with any advice? GP said to give his name to the insurance company and they would communicate!!! is this the end of it for us. WHat if this injury lasts longer than settlement date of thursday????

If he has legal aid then his insurance company could handle a claim for injuries if you wish to procede with it. If the driver does not have legal aid and you do want to pursue a claim then speak to one of the many (too many) solicitors that deal with injury claims.
Heres a novel idea, As you are not really injured other than a bit of a stiff neck dont bother putting a claim in and milking the system like everyone else does. take a few paracetamol and get on with it.
Yes I know this is a rediculous suggestion in this age of compensation culture but its the thousands of 'bogus' injury claims each year that are causing insurance premiums to be so high. why do people think its ok to be so dishonest just because its the insurance company paying out.

I think that every 5 years or so we should have a cull on Injury claim solicitors. This would keep this compensation culture to a minimum. OK so if you are really injured then you should have compensation. But i know a few people who have claimed just because they can. These no win no fee solicitors make it so easy.
