Laguna losing power

I have a 2002 Renault Laguna Diesel which is losing power, and the heater plug light comes on. it seems intermittant, it loses power on any incline can you please help, we had an auto electric person who put it on a machine and said he had re-set it (cost �45) but its just the same.

you need to know what he cleared..
his machine plugs into your car so he can get the trouble code from your car.. (the car tells him what went wrong)
if all he did was reset this data.. then he has done you no good what so ever.
contact him and ask him what the car told him before he cleared this vital piece of infomation... if he says there was none.. then remind him in that case he had nothing to clear..
on a side note... Crank sensors seem to be common on renault diesels..
