problem with fan for heater / de-mister
One of our vehicles (a vauxhall combo van 03 plate) has a four stage control for the heater / de-mister fan. You can hear the fan blowing on stages 1, 2 and 3 but it only seems to actually blow air out the vents when it's on the fourth stage setting, and even then it's not what you could call efficient. We have several other vehicles (but not another combo) and they all seem to blow air out at a much better rate, with the highest setting only ever being used for quick de-misting / defrosting. Anyone know if this is usual for vauxhalls? Don't think the vents can be blocked as the air flows out when the highest setting is selected, unless there is some sort of filter and this is clogged.

A quick phone call to Vauxhall Parts and they will know exactly what you are talking about and will have a replacement in stock.
I used to sell vans and everytime we steam cleaned a combo or a transit even we would cause this fault so we had a stock or replacements just for this very event.

When i turn on the blower, the air blows very slow, number 1 setting hardly blows any air, cold or hot.On number 4 setting it,s poor, it dont even de-mist the windscreen. If i put flaps to front dash vents and put on recircullation it blows very hard, as it should. Also the whole car mist up, and only de-mist halfway up the windscreen....
