HELP - my car has died
13 Answers
Im at work and my car alarm was sounding once every minute so I went outside to look. The engine was chugga chugga'ing (even though its just parked there) and the alarm was still going off every minute just once.
I tried to use my key pad but it didnt work, so I opened door with the key. Now everything is dead, no engine turnover, nothing.
Anyone good with cars?

Sometimes the key fob needs resetting. With mine I have to hold down the unlock button for 5 seconds and then tap it once or twice, or maybe the batteries are dead. Even though a light may show when you press it, it may not have enough juice to do the job.
After replacing batteries you may have to do the 5 second thing to get it to work.

No its been in my view all day.
I havent unlocked it with the key.
It was sounding one blast of the alarm so I went out to look and the engine was making this noise.
When I went to use the key fob, it didnt work and so I unlocked with the key and now nothing works.
I think the alarm sound was a kind of warning about something about to pack up.
