van was in a bump before i had it could it be there is no air bag how can i find out,the egine manegent light is on

Presumably there'd be a hole where the airbag came out?

I had a bump in our 306 nothing much but the air bag light came on and never went out again. The garage told me to be aware that it would never work in an accident. After they qoted �450 to put it right I put up with it.

You could try contacting a company called Autoliv, they make airbags and I'm sure the techies there could give you some advice
