Lost acceleration and lots of smoke when I hit 70mph or above

My o4 reg megane has a split turbo pipe according to the garage - I am still waiitng for it to arrive as they have said it is on back order! my car is getting worse so that it will not accelerate above 70 and even then loses power wihtout my foot leaving the accelerator. It also produces lots of smoke at this speed. Sluggish but Ok for town driving at the minute -could all this be put down to the split pipe or will it be something more?

You have not said what colour the smoke is, but turbo with problems its usualy black, and I would say that the problem is all down to the broken pipe.
