03 Laguna problems

I've just bought a 2003 laguna and I have two minor-ish problems. 1st one is the drivers front electric window's not working, it sounds like the motor is working but no movement?? 2nd one is the backlight on the lcd display for the climate control is very dim. Has anyone got any ideas??

The problem with the window is a broken operating cable, these can be a DIY job, using bike brake cables.

Not sure how to fix the A/C lights.
