skoda octavia

my neighbour has a four year old octavia which he decided to have serviced - the skoda dealer told him that it is policy to change the crankshaft every four years!

he has got to be kidding - I suggested he meant camshaft belt. any comments would be appreciated

its the cam belt. It should be changed at the mileage/time shown in the manual
