i got a ford galaxy 2.8 auto v6 1996
myproblem is the brakes
heres the story . brake pedal travels to the floor when applied yet holds the car stopped when its reached the floor. my garage has changed the master cylinder,new front disks and brakes, bled the system umpteem times
yet its still the same. brakes work when pumped which shows servo works. no air in brake lines and no leaks.
help if ya caan as im now losing sleep over this as the bill gets higher

have you had the back brakes checked or just the front
Check the slides on the front callipers!
some cars need to be bled with a vacuum bleeder.make sure they are not trying to push the air out using the pedal. if you are having to pumo the pedal to get pressure then either there is still air in the system or the master cylinder seals have flipped inside the cylinder due to bleeding the system via the pedal. cavaliers were quite common for this problem, nowadays ldv vans, skoda octavias and peugeot experts need to be bled via the vacuum tool. hope this helps.
