Have you been banned? Given penalty points? 7 day producer? Court appearance? If you've been cautioned and not given any sort of court apperance, penalty points or driving ban - then no. No one, including you will need to inform your insurance company. Though as the above answers say - don't drive without insurance, it's not worth it. If you are facing a court appearance/ban/penalty points on a provisional - you will have to tell the insurance company what penalty code (e.g. SP30/SP50 are speeding offences). Yours will be a code that will tell the insurers you are being prosecuted for driving without a driving license, insurance (it will be invalidated because you're not a qualified driver). They will subsequently either load your premiums or cancel your insurance and update central databases. Sorry for the depressing news! Tell us a bit more detail of the after result- and maybe we can be a bit more specific!!
