hi im looking at buying a used car, and when i try to check the history by using its reg, it says there is no DVLA or police record found for the reg. what does thids mean? other registrations ive tried has given details on the car such as model and number of owners.

Are you using a reputable company like HPi?
Has the owner changed the reg no, and not informed DVLA?
