Some cars...especially some sports cars come without radios to keep weight at a minimum....I know that for a long time, Lotus has never fitted car radios...which must hack off buyers a bit when they spend so much on a car, you know? Whether or not they still don't include them, I can't answer. But they are by far from alone in that practice.
thanks snapdarlich and sigma--i figured there would still be cars without radios as standard--esp sports as u said snapdarlich--my son--to whom i am supposed to be the font of all knowledge had asked me last week and i couldn't say--every car i have owned since the 1960's has had a radio but then they have all been 2nd hand and may not have had a radio when new--guess most saloon/family type cars have a radio as standard nowadays--but suprisingly, apparently, according to sigma not mercedes--thanks for that--oh well then that is mercedes crossed off my list for my new car--ha ha--cheers
