my incurance problem

i was stopped by the police who informed me i had no incurance i showed him my policy cover note and told him i did he rang my incurance company and they told him that they had canceled my incurance due to a problem with my monthly payment but they had sent no letters informing me and i was unaware i was driving round un incured i have been passed my test just under a year and no that if i am convicted of a in10 i will lose my licence i went to the incurance office and asked wot they where playing at and it came aparant that my incurance had not been paid due to when i started my incurance i went to them each month and paid the month over the counter but had changed and gave them direct debit details and requested it be taken out from my bank each month which i was reasured this was not a problem but the lady in the office obviously hadnt set this up so i was left feeling cheated i decided to go to court and explain wot had happened the judge decided to set another court date for two weeks time and had a applied for this to be under special circumstances and asked me to get wotever evidence i could i also informed them if i lose my licence i lose my job so he has asked for me to get statements from the incurance company and a letter from my employer but i would like to no if anything else would help or anyones opinion on wot they think the verdict will be wen i appear back at court

Please accept this as a genuine attempt to help you. This could have very severe implications for you, if, as you say, you could lose your licence and job, so please get proper legal advice. Based on what you have written, and the way it is written, you may find it very difficult to present a coherent defence. It may seem like a lot of money, but I do feel you would stand a much better chance of getting a result.
