I filled up my car last week and ever since there has been a strong smell of petrol coming from inside the car. Any ideas? Is this dangerous? Its an R reg Fiesta 98000 miles....

Might be a small leak somewhere. Have you noticed the fuel indicator going down? It might just be that some spilled somewhere when you last filled up.

Best get it checked out anyway.
Although this is a fairly new car, it sounds as though you may have a small split/leak in the fuel lines.Exhaust fumes can also give out a petrol smell inside the car.It would be well worth getting it checked out!
If you're getting petrol fumes in the car then yes - very dangerous considering all the electrics inside there. It doesn't take a lot of petrol to cause a massive explosion and you don't want to be in there when it happens. I almost was a few years back.

As forr R reg with 98K being fairly new - erm, compared to a model T I guess. ;)
