Ford bonnet not opening

I have tried the suggested way(from hand book) to open my ford focus bonnet with no success. Any other ideas?

if its the same as mine ,(focus cl tdi) i open mine by lifting /sliding the ford badge on the grill at the front of the car and using the car key to open the bonnet ,

I used to have an 05 Focus. Move the Ford badge on the front grille to one side and you'll see a key hole. (I was always told to use my spare key for opening the bonnet and not the key for the ignition, except in emergencies) I think you turned the key anti clockwise then sharp clockwise and it opens (it could be the other way around but you know what I mean)
