I have a spare tyre just under my bust which i can't seen to get rid of, im not over weight (age 19,weigh 9stone 10 and am 5ft5) but i cant seem to get rid of this spare tyre! I also have a bit of a tum!
if you are really sure it is there then I would suggest some hoola hooping and sit ups (depends on your preference!) I ask 'are you sure it is really there' because recently a friend showed me her spare tyre - it was only there because she was bending over a bit, it was really to me the skin she needed to be able to stand up! With regards to doing sit ups ensure you are doing them correctly, it was only when i went to a pilates that I learned how to do them correctly.
I am trying to loose a bit of weight, (stop eating takeaways and drinking alcohol!) although i do eat quite healthily during the week, weekends are defintely my downfall!
I go to a toning class once a week (which i guess is not enough) and walk for 30minutes at least 3 times a week.
i am not in the know enough to disagree with what sharminnnnnnn is saying but i would have thought that even though you are clearly very healthy your tummy needs a little work (especially if you used to exercise this particular area). I am pretty healthy - keep good diet, run at least 3 times a week and do pilates but know that if I dont focus on my tummy a bit that is the area that gets chubby. I do sit ups and 15 mins or so of hoola hooping (which is a laugh) appx 4 times a week - just to keep tum in trim! it is the first place I put any weight on.
Thanks Joannie, how many sit ups do you recommend to do?and does this include crunches aswell?im going on holiday in march and want to tone my tum before then! thanks!! xxxxx
