Charge probs

I fitted a new alternator yesterday & now my 2.5litre K plate transit keeps on loosing charge. The battery light dosnt come on when ignition turned on, is thie a rectifier prob or startermotor link? Please help.had a

Hi uglybug, I'm not saying you are stupid, but have you put the right alternator for it, Is it the same has the old one?
has one of the wire's come off? or has one of the wire's broke under the plastic casing?

Put a tester across the battery leads and check the charge, and see if it read ( 13,5volts) while the engine is running, and when you switch off you should get a reading of ( 12volts) that will tell you if the alternator is working right!
