renault kangoo door locks

I have a renault kangoo van 02. The central locking key has been lost. When I stop and open my drivers door, all the other door locks undo themselves. I then open my door to exit, then press the locking button which is on the floor in front of the gear stick which locks the passenger and rear doors, I then lock my drivers door by key. So far so good...however when i return sometimes all the doors are unlocked!! Am I missing something?? I`ve been told it would be �150 for a new key so that will have to wait for a win on the lottery. Does this make sense?? Regards

Seems a strange problem.
