Locked door on a M Reg Honda Prelude

My car has decided to lock me out . I am unable to open offside door, it is definately a mechanical problem, and not electrical. I can gain access via the passenger door, (very ungainly) I know I, need to get the inner panel off, but cant seem to do that with the door locked (catch 22) can anyone suggest a solution, Thanks for any responses
