i have a vauxhall corsa 1995 reg, and when i drive through medium to large puddles my battery warning light flashes and the alternator belt screaches for a few seconds, also at the same time the engine becomes very sluggish and struggles to accelerate and gain speed, everything goes back to normal within a couple of minutes but its becoming a problem as i crap my self every time i see a puddle! please help
cars are meant to be used on roads not water,so therefore do not drive through large puddles at high speed, most new car have under covers that stop this sort of thing, but older cars dont, and water getting on the engine and its components dont like it,espeacially the electrics,it could also stall in the water if its deep,so be careful in future.
