will my car fail its MOT because the door hinge is broken

will my citreon saxo vts fail its pending MOT because the passengers door hinge has broken away from the weld on the door pillar. We've tried to weld it back, without luck ?

Open and close the drivers and passengers' doors. Check that each latches securely in the closed position. Check also that front doors can be opened from both inside and outside the vehicle.

a. A driver's or any passengers door does not latch securely in the closed position
b. a driver's or front passenger's door cannot be opened from both inside and outside the vehicle from the relevant control in each case.

so according to the testers manual no, unless you have difficulty closing it after you have opened it

yes it will fail the test,we have failed several cars for doors not opening properly,or not at all.
