No.
As said 'no'. Obvious example is company cars which are not registered to their main drivers.
You don't have to be, but most insurance policies assume you are, and record such information on the policy.

If you are not the registered keeper, you should check your insurance policy to make sure it doesn't say that you are.

If it does, you will need to contact your insurer and let them know this, or it may invalidate your cover.
