Tinted windows - driving test

Hi
My daughter is taking her test soon - can she use her own car which has tinted windows.
She has phoned the DSA but they dont seem to know the answer - HELP!!

As far as tinting goes, the regulations require that the windscreen transmits 75% of light and the front side windows 70% of light. (Slightly different rules apply for cars manufactured before 1985).
Of course if the windows do not meet these requirements the car shoud not be driven anyway, and can be taken off the road if stopped by the police or a vehicle inspector from VOSA.
