winter is settling in, start car up squeeling noise then when u drive it goes, does anyone know where the fan belt is located on engine so then it can be tightened up! 52 reg 2.0 diesel club any ideas welcome thanks alot in advance

the alternator belt is a wide v-belt type & has an automatic tensioner this could be faulty or it could be any of the other pulleys i.e aircon or alternator etc.try removing the belt & start it up to see if the noise goes,then at least you know it's coming from that area.
