Do you have to have a service done at a main dealer of the make of your car to keep the warranty valid or can you go to any main dealer or garage as long as they stamp your book. eg can i take a skoda into a vw garage and still keep my warranty valid.

I had my Renault Scenic first service done by my independent garage.I first checked with Renault customer services, they said it was OK providing he used genuine Renault parts
providing the garage you use is reasonably reputable, is VAT registered and use genuine renault parts and also carry out the service to Renaults specifications you shouldnt have a problem
vw now own skoda so you should be fine. As long as they use genuine skoda parts and follow the skoda service schedule then your warranty will be fine.
Make sure you get a full invoice which states which parts were changed with part numbers. As long as the garage is VAT registered and use original skoda parts, you should be fine.
