Over the past 6 months or so, my 2002 1.8L TDCI Ford Focus has started using 10-15% more fuel. It has just over 93000 miles on the clock and has been serviced regularly according to the manufacturers specifications. The engine sounds OK and there doesn't seem to be any loss of power. What could could be the cause of this?

IAT (Intake Air Temp) sensor making the car over fuel.

This makes the ECU think its Cold / Hot all the time.

Just had the same problem with my motor.

Using much less fuel now

Thanks
