Ford Ka Headlight Bulb

My daughter as a ford Ka one headlight bulb as gone she took it to a local Halfords who told her they can not fit it because the whole headlight unit as to be removed and best to take to a garage surely this is not true

how awkward are you talking man at Halfords says you need to remove wheel arch
i work in the car parts trade and have had a ka in the past, cant see why halfords told you to go to a garage as the headlight doesnt need removing, hope this helps
It`s not just Ka owners get referred to main dealers. A Telegraph article last year reported quite a few recent makes & models that require some disassembly of bodywork to gain access, & questions on this subject often appear in this section of AB.
There is just sufficient clearance behind the headlamp unit to fit the bulb if you have small hands. You can't easily see what you're doing so refer to a Haynes Manual or You Tube to see how the metal spring clip is removed.
