dissapearing mile ommeter

the engine management light is on, on my daughter vauxhall corsa. 2001 1.7 diesel. I also noticed that her digital trip ommeter and mile ommeter has dissapeared can anyone give me any ideas

Check the Plug going to the ECU, give it a spray with WD40 within the contact areas, has anything been added to the Elec system? Has the battery been disconnected for some reason? The trip mile ommeter will be an electric fault, poss to do with the ECU.

the engine management light on would generally indicate a fault relating to the engine, if the light is permanently on and this is coupled with a loss of performance then it should be checked out, the EGR valve or wiring to it is a good place to start looking on this car.
The mileage trip and odometer gennerally is a bulb located behind the display.
