2000 Peugeot 206 1.4 auto won't start

My 2000,Peugeot 206 1.4 auto won't start. It turns over fine but won't fire up. The snowflake and sports mode lights on the dashboard that mimic what mode you are in on the gearbox are flashing. These lights don't flash when the car starts normally. This has happened once before and I left it for a while and went back to it later and it started fine.
