1st, & do not take offence! Are you capable of doing the job? if so, SAFTEY FIRST Hand brake on, chock the rear wheels, depending what side, slacken the nuts within the inner wing under the bonnet,
Jack up the front of the car & place a ramp or stands under the front, again make sure the chocks are well in place remove the road wheel, clamp the brake hose, undo the bottom suspension arm, undo the track rod end, on my own car there was a clamp on the body of the lower strut/ undo this then the wheel stub Axel can be lowered, the strut should then be held in place by the 3 or 4 nuts under the bonnet, hold the strut and remove the nuts, use the compressors evenly keep you eye on them as at times the do slip off, remove the nut on the top to remove the end cap undo the springs then reverse what you have done making sure the spring sits in the carrier correct. on a point, have you a spring snapped? what makes you go into this job? myself if you have replaced one side with new replace the opposite side so the car runs level depending on the age of the car.
