why does the law in this country make every thing so difficult.
I am a little confused with the law inUK. I have petitioned for a divorce, the grounds being breakdown of marriage. If 2 people do not want to live with each other then why the law make it so difficult to grant a divorce. Either way the 2 people will not be living with each other or even speak to each other.

Being cynical, the answer to your question heading is because our laws are made by Parliament. Our Parliament is full of many MPs who are also practicing lawyers. It is in their own interests to make our laws as difficult as possible for ordinary people to understand so as to protect their future incomes. The more difficult a case turns out to be the more they pocket.
