Do not give up!!
I hope I can offer advice to all, as the heading states, Do not give up. I sent an Email to Network Rail regards a crossing in our local town of Clitheroe Lancs, the crossing was in a right state & still is, this was a month to six weeks & still nothing was done, I sent another letter to the above stating if my car was damaged in any way due to the condition of this crossing I would sue them A lot of people would have given up not me I'm afraid I pay my road tax like the rest of us & expect to drive on a decent road surface, this surface was like driving over the moon, well It happened I heard a spring crack on the front of my car It was checked by a local Garage ( VAT REG) I sent Network Rail a letter to the effect they then put the case including a lot of A4 photos of every angle of the crossing & the damage, the cost of the replacement spring + labour 130, I received a cheque last Friday from the claims Dept Via Network Rail, What I am advising people to do If I may, if you find that your car has damage due to a rail crossing or any highway pot holes, let the people pay who has caused the damage by not putting the repairs in order in the first place, I hope this may help all.
