I bought my car yesterday & I've got loads of people telling me different things about what's allowed & what's not. Straight answer please? Are you allowed any more passengers than your supervisor driver in the front in an L plated learner car?
I don't see how you can fit any more passengers than your supervisor driver in the front in an L plated learner car- and there aren't enough seat belts anyway.
I'm sure you can have passengers in the car provided:
- the learner has a valid provisional licence,
- the supervisor and the learner are correctly insured
- supervisor is over 21 and must have held- and still hold- a full licence for the appropriate type of vehicle for at least 3 years
- you display 'L' plates on the front and back of the car
During your driving test, you may have a Supervising Examiner in the back who is checking the performance of the Examiner. If this happens remember the Supervising Examiner is NOT testing you, and his observations of your driving will have no bearing on the result of your test
