Warranty Question
I bought a second hand 206 5 months ago, the day I bought it the engine management light came on and I took it straight back - the fault was the oxygen sensor.
On the last day of my 3-month warranty the light came on again - same fault, this time they replaced the sensor instead of just cleaning it (cos the warranty paid for it).
Today the light has come on again2 months later. Im guessing same fault, Im guessing the garage will say "sorry - warranty is out".
Should this new part carry its own warranty? should it last more than 2 months? TIA Al

I bought a nail once and took them to the trading standards once who paid to have the car repaired. more of a consumer prob than a mechanical sorry I couldnt be much help

Thanks Tony
Im quite proud of myself, managed to get a diagnostic test for FREE so I gave the guy 10 for his tea fund lol
Its the sensor again right enough, he cleared the fault digitally and said to watch in case it came on again in a few days or so, he gave me a print-out to take back to the garage that fitted the sensor - good on Struan Motors for that one !!
