mot query hazard lights

My volvo v 40 has failed its mot over a number of issues all correct, but there was a failure due to incorrect colour of hazards which look normal and fine to me. has anyone ever been stopped by police for this before ? or am i being taken for a ride?

The Hazards should show RED & no signs of a white light coming through the indicator lense.

If the bulbs are so discoloured that they do not show AMBER, you can get an mot failure.
