Hi, can anyone tell me if replacing the clutch on a vauxhall omega ( v reg 2.0L ) is an engine/ gearbox out job. Or do they have an access cover like a lot of vauxhalls. Also are there any special tools required. Is it an easy job or should I walk away from it? I would be doing the job for a friend as a favour but to be honest I don't want to be getting involved with any big jobs at the moment.

TIA, Dave

The gearbox will need to be removed but this can be done from under the car.
It's not too difficult to do and no special tools are required other than a few long extension bars to get at the top bell housing bolts.

Or a deep 10mm socket on an extension....
