tapping

hi guys ang girls.....my wife has an audi a3 r reg 1800 cc and it has just had an oil change but there is a tapping sound as she accelerates away ,it even makes the tapping sound when the car is stood still and you press the accelerator.....................help any ideas cheers lee

My son had the same problemwhen he had an oil change at a garage, when I put the correct oil in it went quiet again !

was the tappng noise evident prior to the oil change ?

if the answer is no then check the required oil type required and replace your oil. alternatively
another possibility is to check is the fuel " contaminated " fuel can cause this problem " in petrol cars ".

However if the answer is yes " even less so " it may mean the cam needs adjusting i am only suggesting this as an R reg is an older vehicle and there is bound to be ware on the engine.
