Up until recently Gavin could replace your windscreen for Autoglass, but now we have Steve, in what is almost the same advert. Obviously to pay for this new advert, the cost is passed on to, yes, the public, is there any need to do this?
Of course there is a need to advertise, but what I am saying is, there was no need to change the almost identical advert just for the sake of it, and of course, the cost is passed on to the customers.
But the cost of advertising anything is passed on to the customers. Why single out Autoglass? Companies need to change adverts regulalrly to keep them in the public's mind. It's worked with this one as you remember it.
Sorry squarebear, it hasn't worked with me, along with many others, the go compare adverts has also turned a lot of people off insuring with them, because of the stupid guy with the moustache, just because you remember them, doesn't mean they are good, just very annoying
Actually squarebear, now you come to mention it, I seem to find all adverts very annoying, which is why I try and use catch up most of the time, so those annoying adverts can be by-passed.
Actually squarebear, there is hardly anything on T.V. at the moment, that is worth watching, so I may take old geezers advice and start listening to the radio
Good job you didn't go to "The Great British Weekend" at Warwick Castle last weekend Tinkie. The programme was a "Last Night of the Proms" type concert and the tenor was Wynne Evans, "the stupid guy with the moustache".
I agree with you about the moustache but he's got a great voice!
Sometimes it is cheaper to remake the ad than to renegotiate with the original actors.I may have been that there was a time limit on how long they could show it.
