Has anyone used the car cleaning product ....
...'Diamondbrite Rain Screen'.When applied to the windscreen it alleges to 'disperse water aerodynamically'.As the wipers sweep to and fro the screen turns opague momentarily, making visability difficult. Is there a way of cleaning this 'rain screen' from the windscreen? Ive tried a propriatory glass cleaner, but to no avail.Any suggestions gratefully received .

If you buy some jewellers rouge on e bay and place on a wet cloth then gently clean the screen in a circular motion then that will clean it all off, I have used rouge for many years now it also gets the normal day to day muck off, be careful though as too much pressure MAY leave swirls on the screen, just dont rub too hard or use it too dry.
Are your wipers in poor condition?
The opaque appearance you mention is probably millions of tiny droplets of water, forming due to the water repellent surface.
If you change to new blades, they should leave less water behind as they sweep the screen.
You may also find that you can put you wipers on intermittent instead of constant, particularly at speed as the water repellent means the water drops are blown up the screen. That is what they mean by 'disperse water aerodynamically'

As a side note, wiper blades are meant to be replaces every 12 months or as soon as wear/poor wiping performance becomes apparent. Because of the kind of materials they're made with, even if they're not used often they can become weathered and less effective.
Neglecting to replace and renew wiper blades frequently is considered one of the most common oversights of easy maintenance for car owners. Impaired visibility is potentially very dangerous, and yet blades are easy and cheap to replace.
