My 1999 Ka will no longer blow hot air, only cold.
Reading around it's been suggested that replacing the heater valve might do the trick. Does that sound like a plan? Is it difficult? I'm not at all experienced with engine repairs.
Also, the car has air con. Would I need to drain the air con system to get to the heater?

Valve? I thought it was an air blend heater.
It was the heater valve on mine, common fault, or so the dealer told me!.......Fine now!.................
I should know ... I worked for Ford Engineering (not a dealer)
But Ka was not one of mine!
I don't think it's a water valve (like old cars have) tho.
