Hi Guys,

I've recently bought one of these after getting rid of my trusty Mondeo. I absolutely love it, but have a couple of niggling things bugging me which I hope you lovely people will be able to help with.

My previous Vauxhalls had lights in the engine compartment, located in the underside of the bonnet, have Vauxhall stopped doing this handy little light?.

Along the same lines, there is no light in the boot, I've looked, maybe a blown light etc, but nothing there at all.

The boot does not seem to be closing fully, only a slight rattle if you try it, is there any way to tighten up the latch/lock.

Finally, the washers have stopped working, the pump works, the tank is full, but no jets. I had a similar problem with a 3 series BMW, this turned out to be a sticky slime clogging the tanks filter, could be the same issue???

Sorry for the long list, I hope to hear from you all soon

Many thanks

1. Cost savings .. They are not supposed to break down any more!
2. Boot lights often now a backlight from the rear lamp .. or a small insert light holder. Disgrace .. still have on my runabout Megane.
3. Washer jets probably blocked up. Disconnect from bonnet by clipping out, pull off and back squirt with help from fine fusewire. Clean out bottle and pump through a bit to nozzle pipes. You might be lucky.

Have you fully checked the car out Shiznit? I feel that the car has had a rear end bump!! You can adjust the latch, the bottom part, BUT?? regards the boot light, yes there should be one. WHY?? regards the screen washers, ask someone to work them whilst you check that the water is not coming out else where, being that the water pipe may have come off the jets.
