If You Had A Twin, But Didn't Realise...
Family Life7 mins ago
Printer was working fine until recently. Now says 'printing' on screen but no noise and paper not being picked up. No sound of rollers whirring to pick up paper. Won't copy or scan anything either.
Have tried running troubleshooting program and downloaded a hp support app to detect problems but none detected. Have followed quite a few YouTube video suggestions and spoken to an AI called Pearl.
Tried turning off unplugging and back on again after 15 secs then after 60 secs etc but no luck.
Is there nothing more I can do? Is it just time for a new Printer?
If so any recommendations? Preferably with easy to purchase and cheapish ink.
Many thanks in advance

Turn everything off. (That's your printer, your computer and, inportantly, your router). Wait a few seconds and then turn them all back on again. Wait until all of the lights on your router have stabilised.
Press the WPS button on your printer, holding it in until the wireless light starts blinking.
Press the WPS button on your router, holding it in for just a short while. [NB: Some routers use the same button for 'WPS' and 'Reset'. Holding the button in for too long can cause the router to reset to its factory settings, losing your connection to the internet. So don't press the button in for very long!].
Then see if you can print.
My printer is not connected by wi-fi Chris. I always have a USB connector from computer to printer and connection is still there. When I try to print on computer the printer shows as though printing but there is no noise and no whirring fir paper to be fed through. Printer does not recognise when there is no paper in the tray either.
Next suggestion then:
Uninstall, and then reinstall, all of the HP software.
If that doesn't work, try resetting the printer:

Printers seem to have a finite life, otherwise printer makers would go out of business. Long time ago I bought two printers for work, one got used to death, the second one rarely, both died within a month of one another.
Now got an Epson 2810, now called 2814, separate ink tanks filled by biggish bottles.
