how do malossi and polini kits work for vespas ?

i am looking into the possbility of adding a kit to my pk50 xl engine as I would like a bit of added umph on the road.

I am a complete engine novine and was wondering if you anyone could help me out.

are they worth adding?
is the performance difference really that much?
will it make the engine less reliable?

Could make the engine slightly less reliable as they help produce more power.

The difference will only be 1-3 BHP more.

Slightly more efficient parts than the manufacture fits and not cheap.
