Ihave a ford transit (2002) 350 125bhp it was running perfect until yesterday. I left it in to get new tyres and left the keys with the boys. I got a phone call at 2pm to say the van was not starting it is not even making an attempt to turn over. I spent 116 on a new battery this morning but it made no difference. It is as if the immobiliser has kicked in and wont turn off.

Then it will be your immobiliser gone faulty, if you have lights on the dash,
hi try switching the van on til the lights come on on the dash try starting it is the lights dimming when you try to start it? while you are trying to start it listen for a ticking noise from under the bonnet if you can hear this it is a possable starter but if it is, if you repeatly try starting your van it will eventually start, this symptom usually gives some signs of trouble before gettin as bad as you say it is now, hope this helps
